Services for Employers of Saskatchewan's Teachers

Note:
According to Section 198 of the Education Act, 1995
No person shall be engaged, appointed, employed or retained as a teacher or principal in any school unless that person possesses a valid certificate of qualification issued pursuant to the regulations.

Employment of Students who have Recently Completed one of Saskatchewan’s Teacher Education Programs:

Educator services will issue teaching certificates upon receipt of confirmation from the university that a student has met the requirements for the conferral of their degree.  In order to do so, students must ensure that Educator Services has received a complete application package (including transcripts from all post-secondary institutions ever attended) prior to the date upon which notification from the university is received.  Teacher’s certificate will be valid from the date they are issued by Educator Services.  (Usually within 5 days of receiving the university confirmation of eligibility for conferral of degree - assuming a complete application package has been received beforehand).

If it is necessary to employ a student who has recently completed their teacher education program and has not yet received their Teacher’s Certificate, please follow the Probationary Teacher’s Certificate process.
