Literacy Office

The Ministry of Education is committed to promoting and implementing policies, programs and practices that contribute to the enhancement of literacy development in Saskatchewan.  Through the Literacy Office, the Ministry of Education works with sector partners to provide adult, family, workplace and community-based literacy programs and services.

The Literacy Office, Ministry of Education works to raise awareness of the importance of literacy development for all Saskatchewan citizens by:

• Providing funding for programs and services that help Saskatchewan people increase their literacy and workplace essential skills; and 
• Co-ordinating the development of a provincial literacy strategy
