Curriculum Unit - French Programs / Unité des programmes d'études en français
This Unit provides French language curricula and services for students and teachers for French as a second language (Core French, Intensive French, French immersion) and French as a first language (Fransaskois) programs.  It also manages the Federal/Provincial programs including bursaries and exchanges.

The Instruction Unit leads and facilitates supports and services to education stakeholders to meet the needs of teaching and learning in order that all learners reach their full potential.

The Assessment unit leads and oversees the:

  • development and implementation of the PreK-12 Continuous Improvement Framework;
  • development and implementation of the provincial Assessment for Learning Program;
  • development and implementation of Grade 12 Departmental exams;
  • production of education indicators reports;
  • administration and analysis of national and international student assessments in the province; and,
  • management of the province’s student and teacher records systems including the Student Data System, student transcripts and teacher certification, and the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Initiative.

Provincial Examinations
The Provincial Examinations, Student and Teacher Services Unit administers policies related to credit requirements for secondary level completion; Grade 12 departmental examinations; teacher certification and accreditation; maintenance of a central registry of student marks at the Grade 10, 11 and 12 and student demographic information from kindergarten to Grade 12.
