Information Management and Support Sector Technologies and Network Services
The Network Services Unit is responsible for the oversight, coordination, scheduling, and administration of satellite, CommunityNet, and other electronic technologies to support the distribution of educational programming. On average, more than 3,000 registrants from 130 communities participate annually in over 55 televised/multi-mode secondary and post secondary courses delivered via the LIVE Satellite Network. Over 270 classrooms in 200 communities are equipped to participate in programming offered through the satellite network and over 900 schools, school divisions, libraries and regional college offices participate in the CommunityNet infrastructure for the learning sector.
