Effective July 3, 2009, the Ministry of Education of Saskatchewan discontinued direct delivery of distance education courses with the closure of the Technology Supported Learning unit.  However, distance education courses are available from a number of Saskatchewan school divisions and other providers.  Available courses, delivery modes and course information are published at http://www.skdistancelearning.ca/.  Distance education providers welcome the enrolment of both school age students and adults.  Registrants are not restrained by the boundaries of the school division in which they reside but may register with any distance education provider.  Generally, registration fees for students under the age of 22 are the responsibility of the school division of residence.  The school division of residence should be consulted prior to registration.
